Fast closing UHV gate valves, from Vat protect the vacuum integrity of beam lines, accelerators and complex storage rings by preventing accidental air inrushes from entering other system components. VAT Series 75.2 UHV gate valves close within 7 to 10 ms from signal sensing and seal leaktight to 1 &#165 10-9 mbar &#165 1/sec. for protecting beam lines and accelerated from air inrush accidents. The valves, which measure 70 mm, can be provided with vacuum sensors and a modular controller. VAT Series 75.2 UHV gate valves are bakeable to 250 C in the open position and allow the gate and bellows to be serviced without breaking the system down.
