FEB. 25–BOZEMAN, Mont.–A Helena company will soon learn whether it will be awarded a city contract to build a cleanroom in Fire Station No. 1.
The Bozeman City Commission will decide whether to grant Ingram-Clevenger of Helena a $125,000 contract during its meeting today at 7 p.m. in the Bozeman Municipal Building.
The money comes from a bond issue city voters passed in 2002 paying for new fire equipment and facility upgrades.
In this case, a cleanroom is place where people exposed to disease or hazardous materials can decontaminate.
The $1 million bond issue will also pay for a new fire engine, a truck for rescue and hazardous materials equipment, two new utility vehicles and a new garage door.
Fire Station No. 1 is located at the corner of Mendenhall Street and Rouse Avenue.
The commission also will decide whether to purchase a sports utility vehicle from Ressler Motors at $30,000 for the city’s building inspection division.
