Responding to the medical community`s call for non-latex, sterile procedure gloves, Best Manufacturing has introduced the Sterile N-Dex. The nitrile glove is the first non-latex sterile procedure glove for the medical industry, according to Best. Recently, the medical community has been scrambling to label latex products to help eliminate the risks of allergic reactions to latex proteins. In September, the FDA released mandatory latex labeling rules for medical device manufacturers and is now requiring all latex products and product packaging to carry a warning that latex can cause allergic reactions. — LAK
