Farr Filtration Ltd.`s new minipleat paper filter technology is used in its Rigassy minipleat disposable filter pack. Farr claims it has done what manufacturers until now have failed to do: produce a cost-effective filter using minipleat paper filter technology. In the Rigassy, Farr has incorporated all the benefits of minipleat technology, and improved on them — dividing the filter into two components: a lightweight, recyclable metal frame, and a disposable filter pack. The disposable filter pack means significant cost savings, as only the filter pack is replaced at changeouts. The company says the total unit is competitively priced, making it a cost-effective alternative to the bag filter. — SES
