The completion of Surface Technology Systems Ltd.`s new 5,000 sq. m. facility — effectively doubling its existing capacity — and its move to Newport`s prestigious Imperial Park reflect the “rapid and remarkable growth in business” the company claims to have experienced recently. A major increase in workforce and increasing production loads were drivers for the project, which includes a Class 10 cleanroom as well as vital equipment upgrades. STS says the move also supports the company`s transition from traditional high value R&D plasma system markets into the manufacture of equipment for production. — SES
