Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. has purchased the remaining interest in Serete, one of France`s foremost engineering and construction firms, with operations in France, Spain, and Italy. Completion of the acquisition is a major step in Jacobs` plan for expansion of its engineering and construction operating network throughout Europe. To Serete, it represents a significant opportunity to access new capabilities and markets, particularly in the pharmaceutical, chemicals processing, and specialty chemicals arenas. It also means the addition of Continental Europe to Serete`s existing network of op erations, which currently includes Ireland, the United Kingdom, the Middle East, India, and South America. — SES
