Airflow sensor
Cambridge Accusense`s AVS series is designed to take direct measurements of ultra-low air velocities ranging from 0 to 0.5 m/s (0 to 100 fpm) full-scale, reaching up to 0 to 5 m/s (0 to 1000 fpm). The thermistor-based transducer`s response time is approximately 100 milliseconds, with an accuracy of ± 3 percent at room temperature. The series is also available in a bi-directional version that provides positive and negative readings, depending on the airflow. The unit is powered by 12 to 14 V (DC or AC) output choices 0 to 5 V, 0 to 10 V or 4 to 20 V. The system includes mounting hardware, custom terminations, black packaging, anodized aluminum with a 12.5-in. stainless steel probe. Priced at $250 each for 100 pieces, it is used to monitor airflow at HEPA filters to control fans and blowers, and to monitor critical processes in a cleanroom.
