Ingersoll-Rand`s Air Compressor Group announces the introduction of its Simplair high performance, modular compressed-air piping system, which eliminates the potential of reintroducing solid particle contaminants to treated compressed air. Simplair systems are manufactured of lightweight, non-corrosive anodized aluminum that does not scale, rust or add contaminants. Piping can be suspended from ceilings or fixed to walls, reducing installation time by as much as 70 percent, according to the company. The systems maintain a high-flow rate and minimize low pressure drops. A major advantage is that customers can install smaller pipe diameters and still achieve airflows equivalent to larger-diameter steel piping systems.
