Motoman/Yaskawa open supermechatronics facility

Motoman, Inc. and its parent company, Yaskawa Electric America, have opened a joint facility in Chandler, AZ, that will provide automation solutions for front-end and back-end processes to the semiconductor, disk media and flat panel display industries. The 28,000-square-foot facility will support sales, application engineering, training, customer service and system deployment functions. Motoman officials expect facility sales to exceed $50 million by the year 2001. — TGW
