Air Products buys Solkatronic from Solvay America

Air Products and Chemicals Inc. has completed its purchase of Solkatronic Chemicals Inc. from Solvay America Inc. Intent to acquire was announced late last year. The acquisition advances Air Products toward its strategic goal of total gas supplier to the global semiconductor industry, adding Solkatronic`s dopants and high-purity specialty process gases to its electronics specialty gas product line. The acquisition includes Solkatronic`s headquarters facility in Fairfield, NJ, its specialty gas manufacturing plant in Morrisville, PA, a second production facility in Catoosa, OK, and a distribution site in Chandler, AZ. — SES
