Wilford Hall to acquire three Sterrad systems

San Antonio, TX

Wilford Hall Medical Center, the U.S. Air Force`s flagship healthcare facility, has purchased three Sterrad systems for instrument and device sterilization from Advanced Sterilization Products, a Johnson & Johnson company. Wilford Hall Medical Center is the Air Force`s major medical and surgical referral center, with the Air Force`s only Level 1 trauma center and the Department of Defense`s advanced neonatal care department.

The Sterrad System does not leave toxic residues on surgical instruments and equipment, eliminating the need for a lengthy aeration phase. Also, sterile instruments may be used immediately following the 75-minute sterilization cycle. — SES
