NTS signs contract to privatize McClellan AFB labs

National Technical Systems Inc. (NTS) recently signed a contract with the U.S. Air Force to privatize the chemical, materials and electronics laboratories at McClellan Air Force Base in Sacramento, CA. At the end of the contract, which expires in April 1999, the base facilities will be turned over to Sacramento County officials who plan to entice private industries to relocate operations. NTS has negotiated an agreement that allows the company to occupy the base`s science and engineering laboratories in order to broaden its testing and evaluation capabilities. — TGW
