Praxair to supply advanced silicon materials to ASiMi

Advanced Silicon Materials Inc. (ASiMi) has chosen Praxair Inc. to supply its new polysilicon manufacturing facility (Butte, MT) with hydrogen, nitrogen, and compressed dry air. Hydrogen is used to produce silane, the raw material for polysilicon, while nitrogen is used during the polysilicon production process. Praxair will provide the gases via its on-site hydrogen generation system and an on-site nitrogen plant the company will build. — KS
