Gel sealant

Cleanpak International introduces the new CPI Clean-Gel, a gel sealant for cleanroom ceiling grid systems. The new urethane gel seals absolute filters to ceiling grid filtration systems for critical cleanroom applications. Clean-Gel provides a complete barrier to air, vapors and water — eliminating leakage — and has self-healing characteristics to enable filter changes without affecting gel performance. Formed from a two-part liquid mixture, the Clean-Gel formula is free of silicone, phosphates, halogens and boron, so there is no risk of organic contaminants and outgassing. The company claims it is the lowest outgassing gel on the market, suitable for use in submicron cleanrooms, and maintaining consistent gel durometer levels. Cleanpak also offers gel installation using a specially built gel pumper with a controlled mixing nozzle that guarantees a 1:l part ratio, preventing off-ratio mixtures. Performance has been substantiated by independent testing, and a technical report is available on request.
