Bio Science enters production with Merck

Under a new deal between Bio Science Contract Production Corp. (Baltimore, MD) and Merck & Co. (Whitehouse Station, NJ), Bio Science will now produce bulk biologic materials for Merck. Biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies, such as Merck, are increasingly outsourcing biologic production to companies like Bio Science, enabling them to defer financial commitments to product lines until they`ve been proven in the marketplace. –KS
