Ion Systems launches home page to address static charge control issues

Berkeley, CA

Ion Systems announces the launch of its interactive educational home page as an ionization information resource to engineers. In addition to providing material about the company and its products, the company`s World Wide Web site — www.ion.com — features sections on “Education” and “Questions & Answers.” The Education section lists articles written about static charge control in semiconductor, flat panel display and disk drive manufacturing, and electronics test and assembly. Online slide shows illustrate the causes of and problems associated with ESD, solutions, and information about specific ionization technologies. Questions and answers from visitors to the web site are posted on the site. Already addressed are such issues as inductive charging, causes of static charge, refurbishing acid process tools, cleaning with ionized gas, and the effectiveness of steady-state DC ionization at varying distances from the charged surface. — SES
