The modular cleanroom plenum includes a rectangular plenum body (A) with an air barrier forming a top surface (B) and a ceiling grid forming a bottom surface (C).

Plenums are attached to the primary support structure (D) of a cleanroom (E) in whatever number and configuration are required. By providing in one modular component the air barrier layer, the ceiling grid (C), the fire sprinkler system (F), the air transfer ducts (G), the balancing dampers (H), filters (I) and other standard ceiling grid components, the cost and time required for construction, according to the inventors, can be significantly decreased.
