Jan. 28, 2005 — The NanoBusiness Alliance (NBA), a Chicago-based trade group representing the U.S. nanotechnology business community, announced it is organizing a series of informational meetings between nanotech executives and Congressional and Administration officials.
A roundtable to be held in Washington, D.C., is slated for Feb. 9. Policy issues the NBA intends to address include federal funding for nanotech R&D, investment incentives, economic development and commercialization of nanotech breakthroughs, as well as high-priority applications of nanotech such as national defense, homeland security, electronics, information technology and environmental protection.
