Aug. 30, 2005 – Nanophase Technologies (Nasdaq: NANX), a provider of nanomaterials and nanoengineered products, announced the commercial availability of its NanoArc magnesium oxide.
The new nanomaterial has a particle size of approximately 30 nanometers and consists of discrete cubic particles, absent hydroxyl groups on the particle surface which is characteristic of conventional magnesium oxide.
The product is expected to have utility in cross-linking and other catalysis, acid scavenging, corrosion inhibiting and as a dielectric material in super capacitors. Nanophase is targeting commercial introduction through customers and partners already in development and through new relationships.
