Biotrove seeks momentum with big pharma firm

March 25, 2004 — BioTrove Inc. (News, Web), a Woburn, Mass., developer of microfluidic devices, signed a deal with an undisclosed, large pharmaceutical company to develop screening assays for drug targets, according to a news release.

Biotrove’s Momentum drug screening service will work with the drug firm to help find new biological molecules for improved drug interaction. The company said its system processes fluidic samples continuously, incorporating liquid-handling stations designed for rapid, automated screening.
