June 11, 2004 – A new nanotechnology research center formally opened this week at U.K.-based University of Bath, according to a university news release.
The $3.6-million nanofabrication center will research more efficient light forms from light-emitting diodes, advanced superconducting materials for energy-efficient transportation and magnetic materials for data storage. The research facility was developed in part with money from the university, the government’s Science Research Investment Fund and The Royal Society-Wolfson Foundation.
