PNI, NanoFeel sign marketing deal

May 20, 2003 — Pacific Nanotechnology Inc. (PNI) is adding nanomanipulation capabilities to its atomic force microscopes (AFM) through a marketing deal with the Switzerland-based NanoFeel, according to a company news release.

PNI said the NanoFeel 300 allows AFM users to sense the texture or stickiness of a surface and “feel” nanoscale objects as they are manipulated in real time. Applications include transistors, sensors and other devices for biotechnology, military and aerospace, the release said.

The NanoFeel 300 is available on PNI’s Nano-R and Nano-I AFMs.
