Nanosys secures $1.2M in latest government funding

Nov. 16, 2004 – Nanosys Inc. (Profile, News, Web) has received $1.2 million in government contracts for developing its inorganic nanotechnology for use in lighting, coatings and electronic systems.

The Palo Alto, Calif.-based firm said in a news release the contracts come from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, Department of Energy and the Office of Naval Research. Including the latest round of awards, Nanosys will receive about $5 million from government contracts in the next year.
