Agilent Technologies and Proteome Systems to collaborate on glycomics

April 19, 2005 — Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) and Proteome Systems announced they have signed a marketing agreement to collaborate on an integrated solution for the analysis of glycoproteins, molecules that are important in the study of diseases including cancer, influenza and arthritis.

Under the agreement, Proteome Systems will make its GlycomIQ software compatible with the Agilent XCT, XCT Plus and XCT Ultra ion trap mass spectrometers. The co-marketed product is expected to be available this summer. Agilent and Proteome Systems will also collaborate on the development of applications and seminars as part of the agreement.
