Nanosys, SAIC link for defense research

Aug. 20, 2003 — Nanosys Inc., a Palo Alto, Calif., developer of nanotechnology-enabled systems, has signed a master marketing and business development agreement with Science Applications International Corp. (SAIC) of San Diego, the company announced today.

Under the agreement, SAIC will fund some of Nanosys’ defense and government-related research, Nanosys said in a news release. Nanosys and SAIC have worked over the past year on joint contracts in areas such as solar cells and biosensors.
