TRONIC’S inks deals with two Japanese firms

Oct. 4, 2002 — TRONIC’S Microsystems SA said it has signed distribution deals with two Japanese firms.

The France-based maker of MEMS for medicine, telecommunications and instrumentation, signed deals with Marubeni Solutions Corp. and Seika Corp. to represent TRONIC’S foundry services in Japan. TRONIC’S said the two distributors will help it penetrate key segments of the Japanese market, according to a news release.

Marubeni offers its MEMS-dedicated software distribution program. Seika distributes silicon-on-insulator (SOI) wafers, and will introduce TRONIC’S SOI micromachining expertise to Japanese MEMS developers, the release said.
