SensoNor reports net loss for quarter

Aug. 19, 2002 — SensoNor ASA, a Norwegian maker of MEMS sensors, reported a net loss of $3.9 million during the second quarter, compared with a $4.1 million loss for the same period last year.

Operating revenue was $852,000 during the most recent quarter, compared with $2.3 million during 2001’s second quarter. The difference was attributed to the sale in December of its Capto AS subsidiary to MEMSCAP Inc.

SensoNor, most known for making sensors for automotive applications, also offers design and foundry services MEMS used in telecommunications and biotechnology.
