Helix gets patent for biosensor technology

Oct. 17, 2002 — Helix BioPharma Corp. said it has received a U.S. patent for its molecular sensor technology.

The Canadian firm’s patent includes use of the technology in biochip applications to study protein interactions for discovering and developing drugs and diagnostic tools. Helix is developing the biosensor technology through its subsidiary, Sensium Technologies Inc.
