French pharma firm renews licenses for Genomatix microarray analysis

October 2, 2007 — Genomatix Software GmbH, based in Munich, says that French pharmaceutical company Sanofi-Aventis has renewed its licenses for access to Genomatix’s microarray analysis pipeline.

According to a Genomatix news release, the pipeline provides a platform for analysis of expression and tiling microarray experiments. The company’s software module ChipInspector seamlessly integrates with additional modules to achieve a molecular level understanding of how genes are regulated, giving scientists a comprehensive gene network and pathway analysis, the release said.

Martin Seifert, Genomatix’s vice president for microarray business and collaborative research, said in the release that the extention of the licensing agreement with Sanofi-Aventis “confirms the validity of our integrated approach to understanding gene regulation by combining state-of-the-art software, biological data bases, expert systems and scientific support, to provide a complete solution for the computational biologist.”
