Himax Technologies, Inc., a supplier and fabless manufacturer of display drivers and other semiconductor products, and Lumus, a producer of Augmented Reality glasses, announced today another joint initiative to continue developing the next-generation of smart glasses that will set new technological standards in image quality and performance.

Commenting on the partnership, Jordan Wu, President and Chief Executive Officer of Himax, stated, “We are very excited to expand our existing partnership with Lumus. Himax and Lumus have been successfully collaborating for several years in the field of combat aviation, producing market leading helmet mounted displays. Leveraging their combat-proven solutions and manufacturing capabilities, the two companies are now collaborating to make wearable displays mainstream consumer products.
