Looking forward to it

12/01/2005

No, you’re not seeing things. There are indeed two issues of CleanRooms magazine bound together this month-your annual Master Source Guide and your regular December issue. It’s a little bit of a surprise, double-purpose holiday package for your enjoyment and convenience.

Time will tell whether this particular combination will become an annual custom for the magazine, but there are a number of important and permanent changes for CleanRooms that you can definitely expect to see in the next year.

One of these will be the introduction of our new CleanRooms magazine Web forum. In addition to our current direct link to the International Cleanroom Forum hosted by the Scottish Society for Contamination Control (S2C2), CleanRooms will now host its own on-line bulletin-board service. Here readers and visitors can reach out to the entire CleanRooms universe with questions and problems or share information and experiences. Frequently, reader inquiries are prompted by particular articles or new product announcements appearing in the latest issue, and we feel this direct communication link will be a particularly useful tool for users and product/service providers alike. I hope you will frequently visit and make use of the new CleanRooms Contamination Control Technology “CCT Forum.”

We are also extremely pleased to announce that the IEST will continue to provide a monthly column to each issue of CleanRooms next year. CleanRooms and the IEST share a common commitment to expanding the science and contribution of contamination-control technology to all individuals and industries with clean manufacturing requirements, and we look forward to this and other cooperative activities in future.

The 2006 “CleanRooms Contamination Control Technology (CCT)” Conference & Exhibition, being held next March 15-16 in Boston, Mass., is also shaping up nicely with a unique and exciting conference program line-up. Look for the full conference description in your registration brochure coming early next month. Dates have also been set for the 2006 “CleanRooms Europe” show being held next year in Brno, Czech Republic. The Brno trade fair will host this always-popular event for the first time from October 24-26.

Don’t be surprised to see other significant changes in CleanRooms very soon. But, rest assured, while some things change, one will definitely not: Our goal, as always, is to continually improve our service to you, our readers. Have a great holiday season and see you next year. I’m looking forward to it!!
