High-flow chemical filters
The Ultipleat PK high-flow chemical filters enable manufacturers to minimize the size and complexity of high-flow filtration systems, helping to lower overall operational costs. The filters are for use in seventh- and eighth-generation thin-film transistor liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) production fabs, which represent the newest of all TFT-LCD production fabs and are capable of producing substrates as large as 1,800 mm by 2,150 mm, or nearly six feet by seven feet. To process the water, etchants, strippers and other fluids used in large-area display manufacturing, these facilities need filtration systems capable of handling flow rates that are more than four times higher than those required for older generation fabs that produce smaller substrates. The Ultipleat PK filters offer flow rates over 250 liters per minute with submicron removal ratings. A choice of four filtration materials and removal ratings from 0.1 to 40 microns make these filters useful for a range of chemicals found in the display manufacturing process.

Stainless-steel damper
The IRIS-S stainless-steel damper uses interlocking AISI 316 stainless-steel plates for those applications where corrosive environments could wreak havoc with conventional airflow measurement devices. A calibrated control lever allows the blades to form an adjustable aperture, thereby permitting airflow to be regulated and measured at one location, resulting in reduced field time and improved accuracy in air balancing. By measuring differential pressure across the pressure ports and referring to the matching performance curve, airflow can be precisely determined. Ten sizes are available, from 4 inches to 32 inches with capacities to 20,000 CFM. The damper is fitted with a neoprene gasket for airtight mounting.

Turbidity filter
The Superfilter from Argonide Corporation is used for purification of water and industrial solutions. Compared to microglass, melt blown and membrane media, this nanofilter is able to filter particles from microns down to a few nanometers. The technology is based on an electropositive filter that rapidly adsorbs particles. The nominal pore size is 2 microns, but the filter functions as if it had a 0.03 micron pore size rating. Flow rates and clogging resistance are tens to hundreds of times greater than equivalent performing membrane filters. The Superfilter is available in a variety of discs and cartridges. Applications include industrial water purification, prefiltration for reverse osmosis membranes, chemical and pharmaceutical processing, swimming pools, and food and beverage manufacturing.

Clean emitter
The Extreme Clean emitter in CVD silicon carbide is fabricated using a chemical vapor deposition process with a material that features purity in excess of 99.9995 percent. This feature extends the performance of the zero-particle processing demands of equipment manufacturers beyond the traditional limitations of alternative emitter offerings. The chemical and plasma etch resistance properties of CVD SiC provide a longer lasting emitter. Suitable for use in all critical clean semiconductor applications, this material extends the use of ionization protection in ultraclean environments that have until now avoided ESD protection due to potential contamination concerns. The CVD SiC emitter technology is dense, pure and has a high degree of chemical and process inertness.
