Semicon Europa, celebrating its 30th anniversary, will be held from Monday, April 3, to Thursday, April 6, at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre. Sponsored by trade organization Semi, the exhibition will run from April 4-6, and the technical program and events will run from April 3-6.

At last year’s Semicon Europa, 874 companies presented their products to more than 8200 registered visitors on the exhibition floor. As of the beginning of last month, hundreds of companies from ABB Bomen Inc. to Yield Engineering Inc. were scheduled to attend the 2006 event. See www.semi.org for an up-to-date exhibitor list.

The technical program will consist of three platforms: advanced semiconductor manufacturing and packaging; MEMS/nanotechnology, including the International MST/MEMS Industry Forum Nanoelectronics conference; and photovoltaics (PV).

The PV platform will include the 2nd annual Advanced Photovoltaic Manufacturing Technology (APVM) conference (in cooperation with the European Voltaic Industry Association), which will discuss the current state and prospects of PV production and the future of PV materials and equipment development.
