The best of both worlds
04/01/2004
Dear Semiconductor Manufacturing Professional:
It's rare that you can have the best of both worlds, but that's exactly what Solid State Technology offers our readers.
On April 1, Kevin Fitzgerald became Editor-in-Chief of Solid State Technology. For the past year, Kevin has served as Executive Editor of both WaferNews and SST. Kevin brings rich experience and value to the Editor-in-Chief position. He has held many different technical editorial positions during his 26-year career in business-to-business publishing, including Editor-in-Chief of Purchasing magazine for several years. Kevin also brings a strong academic background in physics to SST, as well as experience in several high-technology manufacturing fields. I am quite confident that Kevin's leadership will keep SST in the position it has occupied for many years: The premier technical publication-of-record in the global semiconductor manufacturing industry.
Kevin's initial SST editorial appears on p. 10. You are encouraged to reach Kevin at any time at ph 603/891-9194, cell 508/410-1909, e-mail [email protected].
Now here's the "best of both worlds" part: Semiconductor industry icon Bob Haavind is not going anywhere. Bob will continue to serve the global SST franchise as Editorial Director, and will continue to travel and attend industry events. He also will spearhead special projects and provide ongoing guidance to Kevin; they will work together very closely. The editorial team of SST has never been stronger than it is today, and we will remain focused on our mission — providing semiconductor manufacturing professionals with technical editorial information that helps them do their jobs.
This change in SST editorial management offers readers and advertisers the "best of both worlds," and it will truly benefit anyone who is touched by the 47-year entity that is Solid State Technology.
Please contact me with any questions or comments at ph 603/891-9413, cell 603/557-5577, e-mail [email protected].
All the best,
|
