Proximal probe technology report
A manufacturer of scanning probe microscopes has released a technical report describing proximal probe technology, which permits accurate quantitative measurements of material properties on a nanometer spatial scale. Designed to enhance the ability of scanning probe microscopes to measure the interactions between the scanned probe and the sample, the technology uses closed-loop feedback, custom-designed probe tips and cantilevers, and phase-shift signal detection. The 10-page report is illustrated with numerous figures and graphs. ThermoMicroscopes, Sunnyvale, CA; ph 408/747-1600, fax 408/747-1601, e-mail [email protected], www.thermomicro.com.
High-vacuum deposition web site
