Hyundai Electronics Industries Co. Ltd., San Jose, CA, has appointed Chong Sup Park president and CEO. A founding member of the company, he was previously chairman of Hyundai Electronics America.
Veeco Instruments Inc., Plainview, NY, has named Robert D. Hempstead CTO. He was most recently COO at Intevac.
Hector Ruiz has been appointed president/COO at AMD Inc., Sunnyvale, CA. He was formerly president of Motorola Semiconductor Products Sector.

MKS Instruments Inc., Andover, MA, has appointed Robert L. Klimm VP and GM of the materials delivery and analysis products business unit. He joins MKS from PRI Automation, where he was VP and GM of the Factory Systems Division. Joe Maher, former head of the measurement and control business unit, has been named VP and GM of the pressure measurement and control business unit.

William Bintz has been appointed director of materials delivery and analysis products. He has more than 17 years of experience in the industry, most recently as VP of marketing for the Factory Systems Division at PRI Automation.
International Sematech, Austin, TX, has named Texas Instruments' Rinn Cleavelin COO. He has been on assignment with the consortium since 1998. He replaces interim COO Frank Robertson, who is now chief strategy officer.
Motorola Semiconductor Products Sector (SPS) has named Fred Tucker president. Tucker is presently executive VP and deputy to the office of CEO at SPS.
Rudolph Technologies, Flanders, NJ, has appointed Paul McLaughlin chairman of the board. He was CEO of the company. McLaughlin replaces Richard Spanier, who had been chairman since 1966, and who will remain with the company as chairman emeritus and director.
Air Products and Chemicals Inc., Lehigh Valley, PA, has appointed Patricia A. Mattimore president of Air Products Electronic Chemicals (APEC), a business group of the company's Electronics Division. She most recently served on Air Products' integration planning and project team for the acquisition of The BOC Group plc.
