Acton Research Corp., Acton, MA, a subsidiary of Roper Industries, has named Eugene Yazbak president. He was previously executive VP of US operations at Petroleum Analyzer Co. LP. Robert Fancy has been appointed CTO. He is a co-founder of Acton's Instrument Division and former president. Bill Keating has been named VP of manufacturing. He comes to Acton from the Petroleum Analyzer Co. In addition, David Di Tullio has been promoted to controller. Kirk Lussier has been named West Coast sales engineer for the Optics Division. Lussier joins the company from Coherent Auburn Group, where he was an applications engineer.

Portal Bay Inc., Sunnyvale, CA, parent company of semiconbay.com, has appointed former Integrated Device Technology's CEO Leonard Perham to chairman of its board of directors. Perham is also on the board of directors of NetLogic Microsystems, Ronal Systems, and Clear Logic Inc.

Maris is past chairman of the board of management, president, and CEO of ASM Lithography, retired. Rajagopal is CEO of BOC Edwards, a business of The BOC Group. Michael Wright has been promoted to president of the Microelectronics Group Unit at Entegris Inc., Chaska, MN. He was formerly VP of corporate marketing and business development. He replaces Dave Ring, who has left the company to become executive VP of worldwide sales at LTX Corp., Westwood, MA.

Bhutta has 16 years of corporate and academic experience, especially in the area of design and simulation of high-frequency circuits. Jim Guilmart has been appointed senior VP of sales. He joined AE in 1999 as director of the Applied Materials Business Unit.

Losch brings more than 20 years of experience in operations management, marketing, and business development to his new positions, and was most recently COO at Paxton Products Corp.
