Gel-Pak, Sunnyvale, CA, a former division of Vichem Corp., has named Jeanne Beacham president. She was VP of sales and marketing. Chris Brodie has Jeanne Beacham been appointed VP of manufacturing. He has been with Gel-Pak for more than 10 years.
BOC Gases, Murray Hill, NJ, has named Dick Grant chief executive of process systems. Since joining BOC in 1972, he has held senior positions in the company`s US and UK gases business. He will continue as regional director of the South Pacific area and South Asia.
Meissner+Wurst, Burlingame, CA, a Jenoptik Group company, has named Norbert Loch COO. He joined the company in 1989, most recently serving as VP of US operations. Rick Whitney has been appointed VP of construction. Before joining Meissner+Wurst as director of construction earlier this year, he spent 14 years at Texas
Instruments in construction and management.
The American Vacuum Society (AVS), New York City, NY, has voted Steve Rossnagel its 1998 president-elect. He is a research staff member at the IBM Watson Research Center.
Fluoroware Inc., Chaska, MN, has appointed Robert J. Boehlke to its board of directors. He is executive VP and chief financial officer at KLA-Tencor Corp.
FSI International Inc., Minneapolis, MN, has established an office of the president. Benjamin J. Sloan has been named COO. He was formerly executive VP of FSI and president of the Microlithography Division. Benno G. Sand has been appointed chief administrative officer. He was executive VP and CFO of the company. Joel A. Elftmann has been named chief business development officer. He will retain his positions as chairman and CEO.
Roger D. McDaniel has been appointed to the board of directors of Anatel Corp., Boulder, CO. He is president and CEO of Integrated Process Equipment Corp.
Novellus Systems Inc., San Jose, CA, has named David Litster the eighth member of its board. He is VP for research and dean for graduate education at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Tegal Corp., Petaluma, CA, has named Michael L. Parodi president and CEO. He replaces Robert V. Hery who has retired. Parodi was formerly chairman, president, and CEO of Semiconductor Systems Inc. Maria Huffman has been appointed director of customer applications support. Prior to joining Tegal, she was director of process technology for Fusion Semiconductor Systems. Michael Craig has been named director of customer support technical operations. He
was most recently product manager for Lam/OnTrak.
Cognex Corp., Natick, MA, has named Arman M. Garakani director of vision tools and applications for the company`s Modular Vision Systems Division. He joined Cognex in 1984, and has held a number of engineering and management positions, most recently serving as senior engineering manager. Colleen M. Carlucci has been appointed director of sales planning and administration for Cognex. She has been with the company for eight years in sales planning and order administration.
Electroglas Inc., Santa Clara, CA, has named William J. Haydamack VP of the company and GM of Knights Technology Inc., its subsidiary. He was most recently senior VP at Data I/O Corp., and GM of its Synario Design Automation Division.
CVC, Rochester, NY, has named Giovanni Nocerino executive VP. He held several executive-level positions during a 15-year tenure at Varian`s Semiconductor Equipment Division in the Thin Film and Ion Implant Groups, and was most recently VP and GM of sales and marketing. Christopher Cosgrove has been appointed director of customer support. Since joining CVC in 1991, he has held positions in customer support and marketing management.

Ho has been named senior research scientist. He has more than 10 years of experience in commercial engineering software systems. Amechi Nwachuku has been appointed hardware engineer.

The Process Analysis Products Group of MKS Instruments, Andover, MA, has appointed Lutz Kurzweg engineering manager. He has more than 30 years of experience in mass spectrometry, and was formerly VP of development at Monitor Group Inc.
