J.C. Park has been appointed chairman of Genus Korea Co. Ltd., Korean subsidiary of Genus Inc., Sunnyvale, CA. He was president and chairman of Aju Exim. In addtion, two other team members from Aju Exim have joined Genus Korea. J.K.Youm has been named field service manager, and Y.M. Chung has been appointed to sales.
The US Senate has confirmed President Clinton`s appointment of Raymond Kammer as director of the Commerce Department`s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). He was deputy director of NIST from 1980 to 1991 and from 1993 to the present.
The Fabless Semiconductor Association, San Jose, CA, has elected David Angel chairman of its board of directors. He is chairman and CEO of Information Storage Devices Inc. Brooks Automation (Canada) Corp., Richmond, BC, Canada, a subsidiary of Brooks Automation Inc., has appointed Chris Brandson product manager for its Chris Brandson ControlVision product group. He has worked at Brooks Canada for many years as a software engineer and technical project leader. Mike Jones has been named manager for ClusterLink products. He was previously an applications engineer developing customer-specific software at Brooks Canada.
