He joined ENI as VP of finance in 1990. Also, Timothy K. Wilson has been appointed VP of manufacturing and quality. Wilson has served ENI as director of manufacturing and quality since 1996.
William Hightower has been named president and COO of Silicon Valley Group, San Jose, CA. He was chairman and CEO of Cadnet Corp.
Ibis Technology Corp., Danvers, MA, has appointed Robert L. Gable to its board of directors. He is chairman and CEO of Unitrode Corp.
Cognex Corp., Natick, MA, has appointed Glenn R. Wienkoop executive VP of subsidiary operations. Prior to joining Cognex, he served Measurex Corp. for more than 20 years, most recently .as executive VP and division president. Also, Henk Schalke has been named senior VP of engineering. Since joining Cognex in 1991 as VP of engineering, he has managed the company's Hardware Engineering Group, the software team that developed an SMD package, and the engineering and manufacturing operations of Isys Controls, a recent acquisition.
Tegal Corp., Petaluma, CA, has appointed George B. Landreth VP of new product development. Landreth joined Tegal in 1991, where he held positions as mechanical engineering manager, engineering program manager, and program director.

Prior to joining Lam, he was group VP of global operations and planning for Applied Materials Inc. In addition, Terrence W. Plette has been named VP of business finance. He was most recently CFO and VP of finance and administration at Elantec Semiconductor Inc.

Also, John Domin has been named central regional sales manager. He was senior product marketing engineer of the Conductor Etch Group of Applied Materials Inc. in Europe. Martin Heerschop has been appointed European sales manager. He was most recently European marketing manager for the Comdisco Electronics Group.
