Materials Research Corp. (MRC), Gilbert, AZ, has appointed Kenneth T. Barry president of the company`s Advanced Materials Division in Orangeburg, NY. With MRC since 1991, he has held the post of VP and GM for the division since 1994. Thomas Kandris has been named VP of global business operations. Prior to joining MRC, he served as VP for

corporate business development for CVC Products Inc. Also, Robert E. McNulty has been named VP of human resources. Prior to joining MRC, he owned a management consulting business in Phoenix, AZ.

Nikon Precision Inc., Belmont, CA, a subsidiary of Nikon Corp., has announced the appointment of Shoichiro Yoshida as president of Nikon Corp. An industry veteran, he joined Nikon in 1956 and was most recently executive VP. He has served on the company`s board of directors since 1983.

Lam Research Corp., Fremont, CA, has named Yoichi Isago president of the company`s Japanese subsidiary, Lam Research Co. Ltd. He was previously VP of the Product Business Group of Applied Materials Japan.

Advanced Energy Industries Inc. (AE), Fort Collins, CO, has named Hollis J. Caswell COO. He was most recently president of computer systems for Unisys. He has been a member of AE`s board of directors since February.

Aetrium Inc., St. Paul, MN, has appointed Kenneth R. Lee president of its Lawrence Division, based in Lawrence, MA. He was a contract manager of the Lawrence Division as a principal of Marlboro Associates, a consulting firm retained by Aetrium in 1996.

Nobuo Nakamura has been named CEO of SensArray Japan Corp., Santa Clara, CA, a wholly owned subsidiary of SensArray Corp. He has 30 years of industry experience, and joins SensArray Japan from Applied Materials, where he served as a corporate VP and the senior VP at Applied Materials Japan.

Technical Systems Integrators Inc. (TSI), Tempe, AZ, has appointed Don Sorchych CEO. He was most recently chairman, president, and CEO of Microchip Technology Inc. He has been a member of the board of TSI since July 1996.

Micron Technology Inc., Boise, ID, has named James W. Bagley to its board of directors. Bagley is chairman and CEO of OnTrak Systems Inc.

Electroglas Inc., Santa Clara, CA, has appointed John P. Livingston VP and chief information officer. He has more than 20 years of experience in operations and high-tech information management, most recently as VP of information systems at Adaptec Corp.

KLA-Tencor Corp., San Jose, CA, has formed a new division focused on the development of common subsystems for its inspection and measurement products, and has appointed Robert Howe as its VP and GM. Howe was CEO at Litel Instruments.

Olin Microelectronic Materials, Norwalk, CT, a division of Olin Corp., has named Harold D. Bridges VP and financial officer. He has served Olin for 20 years in the areas of finance, manufacturing, and administration. Also, Murrae J. Bowden has been appointed director of research and development for the company`s Semiconductor

Photopolymers Group. He was Bellcore Executive-in-Residence for the Wesley J. Howe School of Technology Management at Stevens Institute of Technology. He is credited with playing a key role in advancing resist technology during his 30-year tenure in the industry.

Leybold Semiconductor Vacuum Solutions, Export, PA, has named Hans-J?rgen Mundinger VP of innovations and solutions. He was most recently head ofmarketing and engineering for cryogenics at Leybold.
