Ceiling grid flexibility key to room reconfigurations

Today's cleanrooms are dynamic spaces that are often characterized by numerous, repeated changes. The introduction of new products, production techniques and process tools or the integration of new systems can require dramatic modification of the cleanroom layout. That's why it is important for ceiling grid systems to offer the flexibility to roll with the changes.

The fundamental building block of a cleanroom ceiling grid system is the connection/suspension system. Facility managers must select the most appropriate system that matches the ceiling grid performance and compatibility design requirements of their cleanrooms.
As with most cleanroom products, users must choose wisely based on the application involved in the cleanroom—pharmaceutical, biohazard, microelectronics or life sciences, for example. Know whether the ceiling has to be walkable or not; what surface finish is required; does it have to support live, dead or hanging loads; and whether attachments for lighting, sprinkler systems, fan filter units and other such accessories are needed.
