In-line flow conditioner

Designed as a solution to problems associated with monitoring air and gas flow in piping-constrained applications, the Flow=Trak eliminates velocity profile distortions, swirl and temperature stratification in the gas stream. The product consumes three diameters of pipe and uses two stainless-steel perforated plates to create a flat, uniform velocity profile. According to the manufacturer, the flow conditioner reduces upstream piping requirements to less than five diameters after most common flow disturbances, and significantly improves measurement accuracy.

CO leak detector
Designed for simplicity and hands-free operation, the Mini CO Sniffer is equipped with a highly sensitive LED scale and beeper to warn of even the smallest presence of carbon monoxide in the ambient air. A number of improvements have been made to the In-Transit temperature recorders, model numbers 16000 through 16403. The new package design, with high-gloss printing, alters the protective cardboard wrap so that it now has open ends. Users can see one clear box among the remainin black plastic boxes within each case. According to company claims, the clear housing enables QA managers to easily find and conduct visual spot checks on the units' internal mechanisms. A silver, tamper-evident security seal label is more accessible.

Flow meter

The Series 730 Accu-Mass flow meter now has CE approval. According to the manufacturer, with a footprint of 6.4 x 1.1 inches with a 3.1-inch to 5-inch F/B, the in-line mass flow meter is well suited for OEM applications. The 200 ms fast-response unit measures flow rates of non-corrosive gases, including methane, in ranges from 0.5 to 50 SCFM. It delivers a linear output signal proportional to total gas mass flow rate.

Flow meters with imported variables

MODBUS communications and HART Full Device Description have been added to the Innova-Mass line of multivariable vortex mass flow meters. MODBUS offers direct import of meter serial number, totalized flow plus units, mass and volumetric flow plus units, velocity and Reynold's number of the flowing fluid, pressure and temperature, and fluid properties (including density and viscosity). The HART protocol provides access to all measured variables and programming menus, and permits field configuration without disruption of the existing measurement signal. The flow meter can be configured directly from the control panel or workstation, or with the HART 275 Communicator.
The Innova-Mass flow meters use three primary sensing elements to measure the mass flow rate of gases, liquids and steam: a vortex shedding velocity sensor, and RTD temperature sensor, and a solid-state pressure transducer.

One-handed labeling
Write-On labeling tape dispensers can now be used with one hand, making sample manipulation easier. As each new label is advanced and cut off on the serrated edge, a fresh length of label tape moves into writing position. Mix multiple tape colors and widths to meet specific labeling needs.
