Supplier receives proposal for ozone food safety process

Produce Safety & Security International, Inc. (PDSC), an ozone and chemical sanitation disinfectant process supplier to the food industry and medical/dental facilities, has received a proposal, from a soon-to-be-announced technology partner, for E. coli bacteria sanitization-level monitoring. Testing is now complete, and will soon be released for product application to the produce industry.
The proposal calls for complete data monitoring for sanitization of E. coli bacteria levels. The improvements include the ability to break down the monitoring data into hourly, daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly increments.
“As we are able to improve data precision, so too will the produce retailer be able to improve their effectiveness and length of shelf life. The product is food-safe, cost-effective, and should greatly reduce liability insurance premiums,” says Clarence W. Karney, CEO of Produce Safety & Security International. “This process provides a complete audit trail from every facility PDSC is processing food-safe produce. The program not only satisfies various regulatory issues, but it also improves consumer confidence.”
PDSC has developed and patented products for extending the shelf life of perishables. PDSC’s state-of-the-art ozone process has been shown to extend the shelf life and remove food-borne illness bacteria.
