Biotest

Booth 235
Biotest has recently introduced the APC M3, the first portable airborne particle counter to sample at a rate of 100 LPM (liters per minute). Measuring one cubic meter of air in only 10 minutes, the APC M3 is the world’s fastest particle counter. When sampling a cubic meter of air, conventional 1.0 CFM (28.3 LPM) units take more than 35 minutes; 50 LPM units take 20 minutes. The APC M3’s higher flow rate reduces the time required to take samples by as much as 70 percent, thereby helping manufacturers increase productivity and lower labor costs. The APC M3 is portable and battery-operated. It uses an advanced optical design with high-speed signal detection that allows for accurate counting at the higher flow rates, and it’s able to detect particles down to 0.3 micron. The M3 is part of Biotest’s HYCON System, which provides a complete line of environmental monitoring products for cleanroom environments. The HYCON system includes: APC airborne particle counters, validated RCS microbial air samplers, agar strips, surface sampling HYCON Contact Slides, and two Compressed Gas Adapters for microbial sampling or particle counting of compressed gas lines.

Booth 1738
Particle Measuring Systems’ LASAIR II, well known for its total particle monitoring abilities, now also comes with the longest-lasting laser on the market, complete GMP and ISO features, and a USB port. This portable particle counter calculates and creates reports for EC GMP Annex #1, ISO 14644-1, and FS-209E testing and provides easy subsampling for ISO certification. Both ISO and EC GMP reports are generated from a single sampling run. It has a comprehensive validation manual to meet the regulatory requirements of pharmaceutical manufacturers, making it easier to implement new technologies. Built to last, the LASAIR II provides unsurpassed reliability and laser longevity. Field data shows that less than 3 percent of lasers fail within the first four years, projecting a laser MTTF of over 13 years and making the Lasair II the longest-lasting particle counter available. It also comes with a rugged, chemical-resistant casing that can be wiped down with harsh industrial cleaners and sterilization fluids. The Lasair II includes a USB port that can be used to download data or accessed with a remote keyboard. Particle Measuring Systems has over 30 years experience as an industry leader in particle monitoring and microcontamination control. The company combines high-performance instrumentation with application expertise to solve the problems of pharmaceutical, semiconductor, and other high-tech manufacturers.
